Therese Dexter, RN, BSN is Manager of Infusion Services for Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates (AARA), Paradise Valley, Arizona. Therese was also instrumental in the start-up and continuing success of the in-office infusion department for AARA. She currently oversees the day-to-day operations of 4 AARA infusion centers across the greater Phoenix area. Her primary focus is providing effective long-term nursing care and disease management for patients with rheumatologic disorders. She has served as the national co-chair of The Immune Mediated Inflammatory Diseases Nursing Board and was a member of the Expert Panel for Biologic Nurses Professionals. Therese is an internationally and nationally renowned speaker in the area of biologics.
Prior to her work at AARA, Therese worked in a variety of nursing areas such as ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Urology, OR and ER.
Therese earned her diploma of nursing from Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing, Peoria, Illinois and went on to obtain her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Nurses Association, the Arizona Nurses Association and the Arthritis Foundation.
